Eye of the Storm
Reflecting on the stormy times we live through on our planet and its struggles to keep our environment alive and well, I have created a series of works to capture its heartbeat.
Using the warm earthy surface of burlap, I painted abstract forms of nature and culture that surround us and collaged it with digital printed miscellaneous written languages of newsprint from our cultural environment. 21 drawings 18” x 24” as well as paintings created since 2016, reflect strongly the fact that our physical environment is attacked and violated from all directions...thirsty and eager to get our attention and call for action.
